Spot Color Function

By editing the spot color table, you can adjust the output color for a spot color.

Spot colors are also called special colors.

They refer to the ink that is prepared to express a specific color or the color of that ink.

A spot color table is a list containing the actual color, name, and CMYK values of each spot color.

The spot color tables, such as [CF], [DIC], [HKS], and [PANTONE] are pre-registered in the image controller.

Using the spot color function, you can create spot color tables and edit them.

This is done by defining the spot colors in the table using the CMYK values.

When this table is used in the output setting, the spot colors specified by the application software with which the job is opened are converted to the defined CMYK values and printed.
