Fold&Staple Staple Position: Adjusting the Staple Positions on Fold & Staple

Adjust half-fold position and staple position in Saddle Stitcher SD-510 mounted on Finisher FS-532.

Objects of Adjustment:
Offset for All Size, SRA3 , 12 18 , A3 , 11 17 , 8K , B4 , SRA4 , 8.5 14 , 8.5 11 , B5 , A4 , 16K , 8 13 , 13 19 , Custom (380 to 488 mm), Custom (240 to 379 mm)

  • If a numeric value is specified for [Offset for All Size], it is applied to all paper sizes. With a specific paper size selected,the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for [Offset for All Size].

  1. Press [Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen to display the [Adjustment Menu] screen.

  2. Press [Finisher Adjustment], [Staple Finisher Adjustment], [Staple Finisher(Fold) Adj.], and [Fold&Staple Staple Position] in sequence.

  3. Select the size to be adjusted using [] or []. 

  4. Press [Print Mode].

  5. Load the paper size selected in step 3, then select that tray key.

    • For [Output Setting], [Fold & Staple] is automatically selected.

  6. Press Start on the control panel.

    A folded and stapled sample pattern are printed.

  7. Measure the difference (a) between the half-fold position and staples.

    Allowance: a = ± 1 mm

  8. Press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the [Fold&Staple Staple Position Adjustment] screen.

  9. If any adjustment is required, use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    • Adjustment Range: -50 (To [Extend] the top face) to +50 (To [Shorten] the top face)(1 step = 0.1 mm)

    • Press [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative.

  10. Press [Set] to change the setting with the Current Data.

  11. Repeat steps 4 to 10 until the desired result is obtained.

  12. Press [Return].

    The screen returns to the [Staple Finisher(Fold) Adjustment Menu] screen.
