Q12. Both this main body and the Relay Unit RU-509 (when connected) have a gamma correction function. What is the difference?

A12. The machine's gamma correction function can be used to check and correct the color density before printing to paper.

The gamma correction (color density control) by Relay Unit RU-509 is performed by a dedicated color density sensor built into the Relay Unit RU-509 that scans and measures the color density of the chart image printed on the actual paper, and makes appropriate corrections. As such, the gamma correction can properly reflect the status of the 2nd transfer unit and fusing unit, and also the characteristics of paper, enabling correction with higher accuracy.

To use gamma correction (color density control) by Relay Unit RU-509, from the [MACHINE] screen, go to [Adjustment] - [Quality Adjustment] - [Color Density Control] and adjust the settings.
