RGB-CMYK DLP (Editing): Adjust a Point Color and a Profile Curve

You can adjust a specified output color in Point Color Adjustment.

The difference from Alternative Color Management is whether colors around output colors are affected.

- Point Color Adjustment: This affects the surrounding colors

- Alternative Color Management: This does not affect the surrounding colors

To adjust a specified output color only, use Alternative Color Management.

In Profile Curve Adjustment, you adjust colors of the entire image.

Differences from Tone Curve Adjustment are as follows.

- Profile Curve Adjustment: Adjusts the tone curve in a profile.

- Tone Curve Adjustment: Adjusts the tone curve to be applied separately from a profile.

To adjust colors each time you print a job, use Tone Curve Adjustment.

  1. To adjust the point color and the profile curve, click [Adjust].

    The [Adjust] screen is displayed.

  2. Adjust the point color.

    • If a job is stored by selecting [Hold (Without RIP)], it is not displayed.

With point color adjustment, the result value may be smaller than the set value. This is because the input/output curve is adjusted. The curve is generated based on the balance with the other adjustment points.

  3. Adjust the profile curve.

  4. Click [Confirmation Print] for the test printing.

    [Confirmation Print] screen appears.

  5. Click [Print] for the test printing.

    • Click [Browse] to display the screen to select the image for printing.

    • Click [Select Tray] to display the screen to specify the tray used by confirmation printing.

    • From [Screen Setting], select the screen setting used by confirmation printing.

    • Specify the [Page No.].

    • When you select [Cancel], the [Confirmation Print] screen closes and the screen returns to the [Adjust] screen.

  6. Confirm the result of test printing and click [Done].

The [Adjust] screen closes, and the screen returns to the [Point Color Adjustment/Profile Curve Adjustment] screen.

  7. Click [Next].

    Profile is calculated and generated.

After completing calculation, the Complete Profile screen appears.
