Using Energy-save Mode for Monochrome Printing

Set whether to run Monochrome Energy-save Mode.

Monochrome Energy-save Mode is activated when the following conditions are met. If some of the conditions are no longer met, the mode is switched to the normal mode (fusing priority mode). The normal mode is switched back to the Monochrome Energy-save Mode when the machine's sub power is turned on.

Color mode: Black
Paper type: Plain, Fine, Color Specific
Paper weight: 80 g/m2 / 21 lb Bond or less

This mode can be set in the following two ways.

[UTILITY] - [Administrator Setting] - [System setting] - [Power Save Setting] - [Mono Energy-save Mode]: For details, refer to Mono Energy-save Mode: Using Energy-save Mode for B/W Printing.

  • When [Mono Energy-save Mode] is set to [ON], the initial setting for the color mode on the COPY screen is [Black], regardless of [Copy Initial Setting].
