DPWS Common Settings

Click DPWS Settings - DPWS Common Settings on the menu of Network tab to display this screen. This screen allows you to configure settings to detect the machine via the Web service.

  1. Enter a desired name into the Friendly Name text box. Up to 62 one-byte characters can be used.

  2. Select either ON or OFF from the SSL Setting drop-down list.

  3. In an environment where NetBIOS is disabled or only IPv6 is used for communication, select Enable from the Publication Service drop-down list.

  4. If you want to verify certificates for communication via SSL, specify whether to confirm the items to be verified.

    Validity Period: Checks whether the certificate's validity period is still valid.

    Key Usage: Checks whether the certificate is used according to the intended usage approved by the issuer of the certificate

    Chain: Checks whether or not the certificate chain (certificate pass) has a problem. The chain is verified by referring to the external certificates managed by the machine.

    Expiration Date Confirmation: Checks whether or not the certificate has expired.

  5. Click OK. Clicking Cancel cancels the setting.

  6. Click OK on the setting complete screen.

  7. If you have changed any setting, turn the machine power off then on.
