Printing on Banner Paper
If Banner Tray Unit MK-740 (feeding extension tray or output extension tray), Output tray reinforcing unit for banner MK-740m (feeding extension tray or output extension tray), or Large Capacity Unit LU-202XL is mounted on this machine, you can print on banner paper.
Sizes and weights of the banner paper that can be used are as follows.
When using Banner Tray Unit MK-740 (feeding extension tray) or Output tray reinforcing unit for banner MK-740m (feeding extension tray):
Banner paper size: Widthwise 100 mm to 330.2 mm *, Lengthwise 487.8 mm to 1200 mm / Widthwise 3.94" to 13" *, Lengthwise 19.2" to 47.24"
*Banner paper of 279 mm / 10.98" or narrower in width may not be correctly printed depending on the paper type or environment.Banner paper weight: 128 g/m2 to 256 g/m2 / 34 lb Bond to 68 lb Bond
Tray capacity: 1 sheet for coated paper, 10 sheets for others
When using Large Capacity Unit LU-202XL:
Banner paper size **: Widthwise 250 mm to 330.2 mm, Lengthwise 487.8 mm to 750 mm / Widthwise 9.84" to 13", Lengthwise 19.2" to 29.53"
Banner paper weight **: 128 g/m2 to 256 g/m2 / 34 lb Bond to 68 lb Bond
Tray capacity **: 500 sheets (128 g/m2 / 34 lb Bond) for coated paper, 1,000 sheets (128 g/m2 / 34 lb Bond) for plain paper

When Large Capacity Unit LU-202XL is mounted on the machine without Multi Bypass Tray MB-506, the feeding extension tray of Banner Tray Unit MK-740 or Output tray reinforcing unit for banner MK-740m is not used. Store the tray in the appropriate location.
Output tray reinforcing unit for banner MK-740m can be connected only when Output Tray OT-510 or Finisher FS-532 is used.
To use paper of loading length 487.8 mm / 19.20" or longer in Banner Tray Unit MK-740 or Output tray reinforcing unit for banner MK-740m, a service setting is required. Contact your service representative.
This example shows a case in which Banner Tray Unit MK-740 is used (paper size for Width (Widthwise) 330.2 mm / Width (Widthwise) 13", Height (Lengthwise) 1200.0 mm/Height (Lengthwise) 47.24") in the following environment.
