Using Functions Manually

Finisher FS-531 mounted with Post Inserter PI-502 can be operated manually using the control panel provided on the post inserter.

Place paper in the lower tray of the post inserter. Upper tray cannot be used.

Finisher FS-531 provides the following output modes according to the optional configuration.

  1. Place paper in the lower tray of the post inserter.

    • supplementary explanationAlign the guide plate with the paper.

    NOTICE
    • Do not punch special paper type such as labels or tracing paper. If you use special paper, unexpected trouble may be caused to the punch kit.

  2. Select the desired mode using the staple mode selection button and punch button.

    • supplementary explanationTo select Corner Staple or 2 Position Staple, press the staple mode selection button to turn on the lamp of desired mode. To select Punch, press the punch button to turn on the lamp.

    • supplementary explanationPunch and Corner Staple / 2 Position Staple are compatible. To use it in combination, press the staple mode selection button to turn on the lamp. If any other function is not desired, turn off all the lamps except that of Punch.

  3. Press Start.

    • supplementary explanationTo interrupt the output operation, press the Start/Stop button on the control panel of post inserter.
