Parallel Trimming Adjustment

Adjust the parallelism between the trimming line and fore edge of Saddle Stitcher SD-513.

Adjustment range: Front, Rear

NOTICE

  • This adjustment is available only when Saddle Stitcher SD-513 is equipped with Folding Unit FD-504.

  1. Press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen to display the Adjustment Menu screen.

  2. Press Finisher Adjustment, Saddle Stitcher Adjustment, and Parallel Trimming Adjustment in sequence.

  3. Select Front or Rear.

  4. Press Print Mode.

  5. Load A3 short edge feed or 11 17 short edge feed paper in any tray, and select the button of that tray.

  6. Press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  7. Measure levelness a of the trimming edge.

    Allowance: a = 4.0 mm or less (Fold & Staple quantity: 50 sheets)

  8. If any adjustment is required, press Exit PrintMode to return to the Parallel Trimming Adjustment screen.

  9. Use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    Adj. Range: 0~+30 1 step = 0.1 mm

    [Up the numerical value] To widen [Down the numerical value] To narrow

  10. Repeat steps 4 to 9 until the desired result is obtained.

  11. Press Return.

    The screen returns to the Saddle Stitcher Adjustment Menu screen.
