Staple Offset Adjustment: Adjusting the Staple Positions

Adjust the staple position in Saddle Stitcher SD-513. Reduce the misalignment between the stapling positions and folding line.

  1. Press [Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen to display the [Adjustment Menu] screen.

  2. Press [Finisher Adjustment], [Saddle Stitcher Adjustment], and [Staple Offset Adjustment] in sequence.

  3. Press [Print Mode].

  4. Load A3 paper or 11 17 paper into any tray, then select its tray button.

  5. Press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  6. Measure misalignment a between the folding line and staple positions.

    Allowance: a = ± 1 mm

  7. Press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the [Staple Offset Adjustment] screen.

  8. If any adjustment is required, use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    • Adjustment Range: -10 ([To move leftward]) to +10 ([To move rightward]) (1 step = 0.1 mm)

    • Use [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative.

  9. Press [Set] to change the Current Value.

  10. Repeat steps 3 to 9 until the desired result is obtained.

  11. Press [Return].

    The screen returns to the [Saddle Stitcher Adjustment Menu] screen.
